WHERE CHARM RESIDES
Once used as farmland, the estate was gradually developed through the work and vision of several generations. The first houses were built in 1972 under the watchful eyes of Nelly Terrazzoni Luppi and Michel Bougon, marking the beginning of this boutique hotel in Palombaggia. Then, between 1988 and 1991,Sabine and Olivier Bougon brought the old sheepfolds back to life, transforming them into elegant hideaways where authenticity and calm reign supreme. This aim continues today. Each villa tells a fragment of this story, where the rural life of yesteryear has become its strength, its signature. Here traces of the past do not fade, they just soften, enhanced by modern comfort and genuine hospitality. The domain's charm is also thanks to the owners sustainable approach. Sabine has been managing the estate over for 30 years and maintains the values that have supported the establishment's reputation: a passion for her work, a strong sense of hospitality, and the desire to offer her guests a timeless stay. A keen sense of detail, where everything counts, keeps the soul of the estate alive.

COMMITMENT TO NATURE

Eco-friendly stay in Palombaggia

Local products and a short circuit economy:

"We make it a point to honour and promote local and seasonal products, for a real immersion in Corsican savoir-faire. Our homemade jams, the honey from our hives, our farmer's cheeses, our brocciu, and our farm-fresh goat's milk ice creams are all produced on the estate. Our detox and lemonade juices are prepared using Corsican lemons and vegetables from our vegetable garden, for a more authentic taste and experience rooted in our terroir."

Soft mobility and eco-friendly discovery

"We encourage respectful exploration of our natural setting. We therefore have e-bikes for a zero-carbon footprint way to explore the coast, plus charging stations for electric vehicles. Our estate borders protected areas such as the Cerbicales Islands nature reserve and the preserved Carataggio cove, perfect for underwater activities such as snorkelling, where guests can admire the fascinating marine life without impacting the local fauna and flora."

Rispettu Label: a recognition of our commitment

"Our estate received the Rispettu label in 2021, a certification that attests to our commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism. A break here is more than a simple holiday; we provide an experience in harmony with nature, where everything is designed to preserve Corsica's beauty and soul."

Sustainable management of natural resources
"Preserving the balance of our environment requires optimised waste and resource management. Our cleaning products are selected for their low impact on the ecosystem, the hospitality products are made in Corsica and our compost nourishes the estate's gardens. Rainwater is collected, and our green spaces are planted exclusively with Mediterranean species adapted to the climate, reducing irrigation requirements."
FROM FARM TO PLATE
FARM PRODUCE AND CORSICAN PRODUCTS AT DOMAINE LES OLIVIERS DE PALOMBAGGIA
A few steps from the estate, our “Casa di Petra” farm still honours agricultural traditions rooted in respect for the land and the savoir-faire of ancestral farmers. It houses a goat farm with 200 goats, a cheese factory, a chicken coop, and a bee farm. These are all managed respectfully and in specific ways according to times and seasons, not to mention patience and a deep respect for nature. Each cheese is crafted using farm-fresh milk, and each jar of honey is perfumed by the nectar of blooming flowers. Mother Nature nurtures the vegetable garden for natural produce with a 'genuine taste' and natural aromas. Each ingredient comes from a respectful and reasoned agriculture, shaped by the passion and commitment of a family deeply attached to its territory and traditions. The hotel's cuisine follows the same path. Simple yet delicious, unpretentious, and authentic. A tray of farm cheeses to sample by the pool, a gratin of aubergines grown in the garden, and cold cuts with a well-rounded flavour... Quality produce with a taste of yesteryear.

& WELCOME
Behind the timeless charm of Domaine Les Oliviers de Palombaggia lies a singular vision: an estate that is treated as a whole, shaped and nurtured by those who live there and keep it alive. Casa di Petra, a family business founded nearly 30 years ago in Porto-Vecchio, is the building and agricultural soul of the estate. The same founders, values, and commitment: to build, produce, and welcome guests while respecting the Corsican countryside. Every stone laid, every space fitted out showcases this ethos: authentic, sustainable buildings that respect tradition. The local stone keeps the houses cool, and the terracotta tiles merge with the horizon, while the olive, cypress, and chestnut woods carved by local craftsmen add warmth. The noble materials combine with simple, essential features: old beams, wrought iron, natural stone floors, and large openings onto the maquis and its natural light. The architecture here is an extension of the land, a link between past and present, a long-term commitment to a place where authenticity reigns. It embodies a way of life that spans the years, true to its roots while embracing the future
