POLITICAL INSTITUTIONS :
The mandate of an assembly of 51 members elected for a period of six years and with headquarters in Ajaccio, is to manage the regional authority’s initiatives in areas of its involvement, in particular economic, social, educational and cultural development and regional infrastructure.

INFRASTRUCTURE :
Corsica has a major road network comprising five national roads, and a 232km long railway network divided into three lines (Ajaccio/Ponte-Leccia, Ponte-Leccia/Bastia and Ponte-Leccia /Calvi).

It has four airports ensuring connections to mainland France and Europe: Bastia Poretta, Ajaccio Campo dell’Oro, Calvi Sainte Catherine and Figari Sud Corse.
