Once again Les Oliviers de Palombaggia unveil a new house and its secret charm. This renovated stone built cottage gives way to two intimate bedrooms then two bathrooms, one of which will carry on to an outdoor shower, and a warm living room altogether bright and cozy.

Discover the sandy beaches of PALOMBAGGIA

Only 1.8km from the residence Les Oliviers ****

One of the most beautiful beaches of Corsica and Southern Corsica: Palombaggia with its crystal clear waters, white sand dunes lined with pine trees, with a magnificent panorama of the Cerbicale Islands, classified as a nature reserve.

You can admire the beach of Acciaghju, to the south, the beaches of Cala di Lume, Tamaricciu and La Folacca. About fifteen kilometers follow sandy beaches and wild coves. After Palombaggia continue along the coast and you can discover the bay of Santa Giulia, in order to enjoy water activities.

Setting out from Les Oliviers estate, 8.5kms away you’ll discover the town of Porto-Vecchio. Built on coastal heights, the “City of Salt” overlooks the salt flat scrubland lying before it, and the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio.
With a rich history, it is built inside fortifications inherited from the 16th century, bearing witness to its bellicose past, with a bastion built entirely from stone, which today is an exhibition venue. Taste the island’s typical flavours in the delis, restaurants and wine bars dotted along the streets of the old town, or stroll along these streets on summer evenings for shopping.
the marina and harbour lying at the foot of the citadel invite you to take a sunny break, or enjoy an ice-cream against a backdrop of sail boat masts.

Facing the sea and situated 27km to the south of Porto-Vecchio lies Bonifacio. A city in an exceptional location which, in its difficult past, was built on a natural promontory. It is flanked by huge limestone cliffs overlooking the extreme south of the island, from where you can catch a glimpse of Sardinia offshore.

hidden under its vertiginous ramparts, the old town, which offers a real journey through time, abounds with delightful narrow lanes.

further down lies its harbour in the hollow between two cliffs, a set-off point for excursions towards the caves of Bonifacio, the Lavezzi Islands, etc. in addition to the tranquillity of a walk along the quays lined with boutiques, bistros and gelaterias.

The roadway entrance leads you to Les Oliviers estate, and just a few steps further along you will find the start of the path winding towards the aquamarine waters of Carataggia. It provides a fifteen-minute walk through the scrubland with all the scents and splendid views over the ocean this has to offer. The view on arrival is breathtaking – a long stretch of white sand, just idyllic. Overlooked by juniper trees, the reflection of the ochre of the rocks overhanging this expanse melts into the clear water, an invitation to let your thoughts drift off..

the extreme south of the island is home to magnificent beaches. Also make the most of the Palombaggia beach alongside crystal clear waters, or relax in the shade of the umbrella pines lying only 1.5km away from Les Oliviers.

once you have passed Palombaggia, continue along the island coastline, where you can also discover Santa Giulia. An ideal location to enjoy water sports.
